Frequently asked questions

Everything parents ask us before the first lesson — in one place. Can’t find your answer? Write to us.

1. What does the starter lesson look like?

The starter lesson is your child’s first individual online meeting with a mentor. The mentor gets to know their interests and level, and the child starts their first mini-project right away — no tests, no interrogations. After the lesson you receive our suggestion for a path, a mentor and a plan.

The starter lesson is paid, but its cost is deducted from the first month’s subscription — if you stay, it works out to zero. You can book it through the contact form.

2. What exactly will my child learn?

Depending on the chosen path: 3D design and printing, 3D modelling, 3D scanning, microcontroller programming (including building their own SMARS robot), using AI wisely, or advanced computer skills. The common denominator: your child learns through projects, not lectures — and every stage ends with something you can see or touch.

Beyond technology, they develop competencies that pay off everywhere: seeing work through to the end, breaking problems into steps and learning from mistakes. You’ll find the details on the project path pages.

3. What if my child gets bored or discouraged?

It’s the most common concern parents have — and it’s exactly what the mentor is for. Statistically, 87% of people abandon self-paced courses; in 1-on-1 mentoring we match projects to your child’s interests (games, robots, buildings), and when an obstacle appears the mentor helps them through it instead of leaving them alone with the problem.

If the topic still stops being interesting — we change the project or the path, not the child. Interests at this age come and go, and we treat that as a natural part of the process.

4. How does online mentoring work?

Lessons are live, 1-on-1, over a video call with screen sharing. The mentor sees the child’s work the whole time and reacts in real time — it’s a conversation and joint work, not a webinar. Frequency depends on the plan (2 lessons a month, 30–60 minutes each).

The results don’t stay in the computer: the designed models are 3D-printed and shipped home, so online learning ends with a physical project on the desk.

5. Is my child safe?

Yes — and we treat it as a priority. Lessons are always taught by the same, verified mentor, and you have full insight into how the collaboration is going. The “Cybroskillers” Discord community is moderated, with clear rules, member verification and no open access from the internet.

On top of that, we teach children digital hygiene: strong passwords, protecting private data and recognising threats — safety is part of the programme, not a footnote in the terms.

6. How do payments and cancellation work?

Plans (Explorer 299 zł, Creator 349 zł, Innovator 399 zł per month) are billed as a monthly subscription. Paying per semester gets you 1 month free; paying yearly — 2 months. A second child gets a 50% discount.

[TO BE ADDED: detailed payment rules, notice period and cancellation procedure]

7. How is the subscription different from a digital course in the shop?

The subscription is the full Cybroskill experience: a 1-on-1 mentor, 3D prints delivered to your home, access to scenarios and the community. It’s the choice for children who need guidance and regularity — which is most of them.

The digital courses in our shop are selected paths in a self-paced version, at your own rhythm and without a mentor. Good as a supplement or a start for independent teenagers — but remember it’s precisely self-paced courses that 87% of learners drop out of.
